Connect for Global Change is about connection. Not the high-tech, low-touch kind that social media uses to get us to THINK we’re connected, but the actual, person-to-person, community-based sort that has the ability to create actual, real-world change and can engage people in meaningful ways in their local areas and in the larger world.
We aim to use this website and associated social media to showcase organizations, people, and projects that are world-changing, inspiring, and progressive and that build community and can truly empower people to make change in their own communities.
Our goal is to let people see – in the face of an onslaught of negativity and mixed messaging – that we CAN come together to make positive changes regardless of – and across – political, religious, or other affiliation and offer concrete examples and pathways to do so. Concern over environmental and social justice issues transcends ideological boundaries and Connect is a tool to create that transcendence.
